The Side Towel Scholarship was established to provide students, regardless of academic standing, a resource to assist in financially tough times.

We all know someone, or were someone, who occasionally found themselves in need of financial assistance to continue their education.

The Side Towel Scholarship was started by Karen Pawelec '10, a Manager in Training at the CIA, for the purpose of providing students who proved themselves professionally in the kitchens at the CIA, but found themselves in financial situations which would make remaining in school difficult. This scholarship was developed for the student who has tried every possible means to stay, but financially cannot.

Through our collective generosity, these students will be identified and helped to remain in school.
